The role of the Automation Engineer is to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through Process, Instrumentation and Control System Improvements, coordination of activities with Maintenance, Process and Operations departments, and work towards achieving the Company’s and Department’s KPIs. The Automation Engineer provides a safe operating environment by implementing operational sequences and measures for production areas and plant-wide equipment.

Functional/ Technical Skills 

• Rolling mill experience is an added advantage. 
• Experience with Level2 control system development, integration, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance. 
• Experience and working knowledge of Siemens Level1 HMI/GUI and PLC  programming, integration, optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance.  
• Good working knowledge of SCADA, MES & Historian systems. 
• Knowledge of communications and interface technologies and protocols, including various LAN
  and field-bus standards. 
• Must possess excellent knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, as well as technologies in
  general.  
• Strong verbal and written command of the English language. 
• Computer/MS office skills specially Excel.
